Due to exceptional growth, we are looking for a passionate Laravel/ React Developer to join our in-house team in Sri Lanka to work across a portfolio of exciting clients in industries such as nonprofit, pharmaceutical, retail, education, e-commerce, professional services and many more. The company is based in Sydney Australia, with a small development team in Colombo Sri Lanka, our team is made up of highly experienced, innovative and insightful digital professionals and we believe in fostering idea cultures to enrich team knowledge and client results. PROFILE The role is for a self-motivated and managed position. You will have to have experience in Laravel but also have a good working knowledge of WordPress, be able to manage your own time efficiently in order to completed tasks within a team environment. Overall deadlines will be provided but you should have the ability to break down tasks and set up your own deadlines within Wrike (Our time management tool). You will need to have your own Laptop and work within the office environment in Colombo as part of the greater team. There will be daily meetings which will allow you to provide feedback or any concerns difficulties you are facing with the provided tasks. All code changes will be managed on the server and be pushed daily to bitbucket. You will have to make sure that the development branch on GIT are up to date with the latest changes for that day as well as all tasks are updated within Wrike before CoB. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead projects on a technical level from concept through to delivery and deployment. • Translating project requirements into blocks of tasks for you to work on. • Maintenance of the backlog of tasks & review of the developers' progress. • Requirements analysis and technical design of the software solutions in collaboration with the development team. • Software quality assurance (audits, code reviews, testing, etc). • Quick turnaround with changes and feedback items. • Write scalable, maintainable, and reusable code as and when the business deems it necessary. • Keep up to date with the latest technologies. • Build plugins and reusable code components which can be migrated into different WordPress instances. CANDIDATE PROFILE • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • You have 3+ years as a Laravel and or React Developer. • You will be enthusiastic about opportunities to improve and adapt your skills as our business needs require. • You know what frameworks or technology to leverage for a project & why you would use them. • You have the ability to answer questions and help solve problems other developers encounter. • You are comfortable with writing complex MySQL/MariaDB queries. • You are comfortable with using a Linux command line. • You follow code standards to develop quality & maintainable code. • The ability to perform accurately, effectively and methodically under pressure.
